Cultivate attentiveness to your inner life.
The human soul was created for flourishing, connection, and love.
But so much of modern life—its pace, its fragmentation, its endless confluence of crises—keeps us fractured, anxious, stifled, and disconnected from ourselves, from one another, and from God.
My spiritual direction practice is a space for people who want to disrupt the urgency culture of our time through the slow, mindful work of tending to our inner lives.
When you join me in the practice of spiritual direction, you will:
listen for how God is present in the reality of your life, no matter how rich, painful, beautiful, or challenging it may be
strengthen your ability to hear your inner voice, despite the noise and chaos of our world
gain clarity about your vocation and values in any given season
learn how to create a place of inner calm through the practices of silence, stillness, rest, and contemplation
make space in your life to hear from God about your identity, your work, your relationships, and your healing
“This is the state of true human flourishing—development toward ever greater love for God and love for the other, even developing into love for one’s enemies and the whole world.”
-Father David Alexander, Leaping Into the Hands of God
Working with Me
My training and formation are rooted in the Christian contemplative tradition, acknowledging the wide array of experiences, theologies, and beliefs held within it. I welcome directees from all backgounds and traditions.
My own journey of faith has been a long winding one, so I understand what its like to navigate a wide array of spiritual environments, including times of spiritual dryness, doubt, churchlessness, as well as religious deconstruction and reconstruction.
In terms of my training, I received my spiritual direction certification via a rigorous, 2-year program that emphasized the foundations of spiritual companionship, discernment, and contemplative practice. I’ve also completed a dynamic breathwork faciliation training, equipping me to support others with grounding exercises and basic nervous system regulation.
While spiritual direction is a healing practice, it is not psychotherapy. Our work together is primarily spiritual, as we co-create a mindful, safe, and intentional space for you to meet with God and the deeper parts of yourself. I am not a licensed therapist and I do not diagnose, treat, or advice on matters related to medical or psychological needs.
